Emerging trends at #LVMKT
With only 3 days at the #LVMKT, I packed my bags and walking shoes excited to learn and be inspired by new product trends and designs at Market.
I have included here some highlights and a few of my thoughts on the current trends surfacing, in the hopes that you also can enjoy a small piece of the Las Vegas Market.
Ethnic Geometrics
This was a popular theme in many of the displays. This trend of ethnic patterns can be used as an accent or statement piece, mixed with bold and / or subtle colors in a room.
Wireframe pendants
These wire frames all play on volume and space. They are big structures with little use of materials.

Ceramics
A trend moving forward which follows the maker-movement in creating unique pieces complete with its artful imperfections. These fabulous pieces here are one of a kind, hand made ceramics with a story behind them.
By the way, many of these pieces can also be sourced in Asia. Chang Mai, Thailand is home to many wonderful ceramic artists producing these very pieces.
The Weave
Look at this high-back dining chair, designed by Bobby Berk for the Phillips Collection. It is made from seat belts. How innovative!

These were some of my favorites from Cyan Designs. Their use of color inspires me.
A little pillow humor in the home, works well in a modern home setting.

Moe's fantastic home collection had a great selection of accent chairs. I especially fell in love with the iron frame, purple leather lounger.
